Gary Bartosiewicz gbartosiewicz@lennonmiller.com

Gary P. Bartosiewicz, a partner at Lennon, Miller, O’Connor & Bartosiewicz, P.L.C. graduated from Wayne State University Law School, and began his practice of law in Kalamazoo, in 1978.

Gary has handled a wide variety of cases, including products liability, premises liability, automobile accidents, real estate broker liability, attorney malpractice, medical malpractice, employment issues, school district liability, contractor liability, and Federal Civil Rights cases.

Gary’s practice has focused on litigation in Michigan State and Federal Courts, as well as before Administrative Agencies. Practicing before all of the courts in Southwest Michigan, Gary has also handled cases in the Western and Eastern District Federal Courts, as well as the Federal 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative Cases

Mayer v Auto Owners, 127 Mich App 23 (1983); Briefed and argued case establishing that an independent insurance agent is an agent of the insured, and not the insurance company

Husted v Dobbs, 459 MI 500 (1999); Successfully defeated an attempt to transform a Michigan no fault insurance policy into portable residual liability coverage.

In re Johnson 345 BR816, Bankruptcy WD Mich (2006); Where Plaintiff concealed a pending lawsuit by not listing it on the bankruptcy schedule, had the case dismissed by application of judicial estoppel.

Autism Society of Michigan v Parchment Public Schools, et al, WD Michigan (2007); Successfully won dismissal of Plaintiff’s claims against the Parchment Public Schools, and others, based on the lack of standing.
