Matthew L. Cooper

Mr. Cooper is a partner at Lennon Miller PLC with a practice focused on providing legal representation to insurance carriers, individual insureds, and businesses across Michigan. Mr. Cooper has represented clients in both State and Federal Courts on a variety of matters, including first- and third-party no-fault litigation, premises liability, watercraft accidents, construction accidents, business torts, and disputes involving community property associations.

Mr. Cooper is long time Michigan resident, having grown up in metro Detroit. He attended Hope College in Holland, MI and law school at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. After graduating law school, Mr. Cooper joined a boutique litigation firm in Chicago, Illinois, where he represented commercial real estate developers in all aspects of business litigation, including commercial leasing, community property associations, construction litigation, and partnership disputes.

Prior to joining Lennon, Miller, Mr. Cooper worked for the Kalamazoo based law firm James, Dark & Brill, until its merger with Lennon, Miller in 2021.
